Price

Go with a 1-year, 6-month, or monthly billing cycle. You need to go with the 1-year billing cycle to get the advertised price on this website. It is slightly more expensive when selecting one of the other cycles. You'll get an initial period discount on your order, so the longer your billing cycle is the more you save. You can request another discount before your web hosting is up for renewal though.

CPU & RAM

There are no hard limits on how much CPU you can use, to my knowledge. CPU is a shared resource between all of their VPS customers. This plan will automatically downgrade RAM when not needed. For instance in periods of low traffic to your websites.

Server Configuration

You can select between standard, PHP or a WordPress configuration for your server. The WordPress configuration is, according to their support, a revolutionary new class of server that uses Nginx and PHP-FPM to provide an optimized experience for WordPress sites. For Joomla, Prestashop, and OpenCart the PHP configuration is the suggested configuration.

Expensive Domains & Privacy

When purchasing your server you will get the option to buy a domain name with whois privacy. It says on their website that they include a free domain with all three of their VPS offers with a billing cycle of 6 or 12 months. At the moment they charge $12.99/year for the domain privacy. This is useful as it will help you receive less spam by having your personal information hidden. You can get this for free with another registrar though, negating the benefit of the free domain.

Data Center Location

Choose between hosting your VPS on the east coast or west coast of the USA. They do recommend one of these. For me they recommended the one on the east coast, simply because that is the closest one to my location based on my IP address.

Not for Porn or Gambling Sites

InMotion Hosting has like many other web hosts restrictions again hosting adult content like porn. In addition InMotion does not allow gambling websites either.

Commercial-Class Performance

This server has ECC DDR4 RAM. It can be upgraded all the way up to 512 GB of RAM when ordering.
