The DreamPress hosting plans has lots of bells and whistles for your WordPress site. They will install WP for you with several plugins and themes that are considered "battle-tested" by DreamHost. They promise to serve your web pages lightning fast with features like SSD storage, Object Caching, HTTP2, PHP 7 and the Jetpack plugin. You also get access to WordPress Expert Support 24/7.
Migrating to DreamPress
The WordPress Migration Service costs $99 and promises to seamlessly move your WordPress installation over to your new hosting without downtime. It costs $99 which I think is a bit expensive considering you are also moving your hosting to this company. It could be good value though if you have lots of content and plugins that would make your site a real hassle to move and might require paid plugins to get the job done anyways.
A .com domain is $11.99 for the first year and slightly more after that, which is great considering that the Whois Privacy is free.
They only accept credit and debit cards and that is a slight drawback. The 30-day money back guarantee is OK. The limiting of how many websites you can host is another drawback. Or at least it could be if you have multiple sites.
The performance features of the DreamPress plans are nice and will help your sites load fast with features like Brotli compression, HTTP/2 and the Nginx web server. Your site will also get HTTPS by default. If you outgrow your DreamPress plan you can upgrade with a simple click of the mouse unless you are already hosted with the most powerful plan.
Dreamhost states that this plan is suitable for websites with around 10.000 monthly visitors.

This is a really nice VPS offer by the host M3Server. You can customize your own web server with just the resources you need, starting at a really affordable price. This is a great way to ensure you have lots of power while not paying for resources that you don’t use at all.
The starting configuration includes 2 vCPU cores which is great. You can also select between HDD or a smaller SSD disk for storage.
I really like that cloud backups are included also, other hosts can charge $2/mo to $25/mo for this!

DreamHost allows easy scaling of resources with their VPS to upgrade your amount of server resources. That could make starting out with a cheap plan the best option for sites without a lot of traffic already. All VPS plans have 100% SSD storage. One of the reasons why they can offer these plans at such low prices is the fact that they do not offer cPanel, instead, they have created their own control panel. cPanel does cost about $13 per month, so it is a great way to save money for the cheapest web hosting plans.
Their team handles updating and installation of security patches, OS updates, and even WordPress versions.
The 1-click-installer lets you install things like WordPress with 1 click. Always nice to save some time 🙂
The optional MySQL starts at $15/mo. It gives your database its own virtual private server. They suggest going for this if you need to send large amounts of data between your apps and MySQL. You can scale the RAM of this server from 300 MB to 4000 MB.
Choose between Apache or Nginx.
They do not currently offer support for the Litespeed web server and cannot install it for you either. As their VPS plans do not offer root access you would need to go with another VPS plan from another host or go with the dedicated servers by DreamHost that do offer root access.
A great choice for low-cost VPS hosting. However, the lack of cPanel and no money-back guarantee lowers the score for these plans a little.
You might also want to compare the DreamHost VPS plans with the slightly more scalable and better value plans from Cludways & Digital Ocean here.
Price (1 year): $17.99/mo ($215.9)

All VPS plans from iPage comes with cPanel included, SSD storage and one or more Dedicated IP address. You can get an even lower price if you select 2-year billing cycles. Month to month billing will add a little to the price.
Just a decent option for low cost VPS hosting, value wise. It can’t quite compare with the cheapest cloud plan though. That offer from Cloudways and Digital Ocean grants the same amount of resources at a 70% discount compared with this plan. The low amount of resources would however not be enough if you want to host several sites or one site with medium traffic. 1 GB of RAM will be exhaused fast if you use a CMS like WordPress with several plugins.
SSD storage will help your sites load fast, and a nice bonus is the free domain name. Live support is nice, and so is the price of this plan!
